Philosophy Statement:
As a qualitative methodologist, Dr. Green's research expertise focuses on the development and implementation of qualitative research designs that aid social science and education researchers, policymakers, and administrators in understanding the complexities associated with diversity issues and diverse populations in the public policy, higher education, and K-12 education arenas. In particular, her research examines methods, practices, and strategies employed in qualitative studies that explore phenomena associated with racially/ethnically diverse populations. She teaches courses on qualitative approaches in education, diversity and qualitative methods, and grounded theory methodology, aiding students from an array of disciplines, including nursing, educational leadership, counseling psychology, higher education, and family science. Dr. Green also offers workshops on diversity and qualitative methods and assesses campus climate issues using various qualitative approaches.
