Current Assignment in the College of Education and Human Sciences:
Philosophy Statement: Dr. Hollist has spent a great deal of time in Brazil where he has taught, done research, and conducted clinical work. During that time he was able to further understand the academic culture of Brazil and develop relationships with the academic community there. He was also able to learn skills and philosophies for more effective therapeutic treatment of Latino families.
Dr. Hollist teaches in Family Science. He is also the faculty advisor for the Family Science Organization.A student organization designed to foster professional relationships between students and the professional would outside academia. Dr. Hollist loves research and teaching. He finds great satisfaction in working with students and seeing in them the zeal for research and practice grow. He believes that research, teaching and practice need be inseparable.
